Helping Ventura County families in need
Thank you to all the volunteers from over 55 area churches that came to serve more than 1500 under-resourced families by providing toys for Christmas in a God-filled, family-friendly atmosphere at our 9th annual Community Christmas Shoppes! It was amazing to see God’s love change lives across Ventura County!
Community Christmas Shoppe 2012 by the numbers
- 55 churches united to host 5 Community Christmas Shoppes in Ventura, Pt. Hueneme, Camarillo, Conejo Valley and Simi Valley
- 15,630 toys and gifts were donated
- 1,526 families “shopped” (at no cost to them) for their children’s’ presents
- 59 agencies and schools partnered to identify these families
- 1,288 volunteers served at the Shoppes
- 132 businesses and community service clubs donated toys, food, and services to make the Shoppes a success
