Christmas Shoppe 2011
- 47 churches united to host 5 Community Christmas Shoppes in (list the five cities)
- 12,440 toys and gifts were donated
- 1,540 families “shopped” (at no cost to them) for their children’s’ presents
- 86 agencies and schools partnered to identify these families
- 1,280 volunteers served at the Shoppes
- 136 businesses and community service clubs donated toys, food, and services to make the Shoppes a success
Helping Ventura County families in need
Greetings ACTION friends! Preparations are underway for the 8th annual Community Christmas Shoppes benefiting Ventura County families in need. This event brings together volunteers from over 40 area churches to serve 1000+ local low income families providing toys for Christmas. Host a Box
We need your help to gather thousands of toys needed for Ventura County families! Would your place of [business/church/school] be willing to host a toy collection box? There will be a much greater need this coming Christmas given the continuing economic downturn and employment situation.

How Do Families Qualify?
Invitations are issued to families by the ACTION Foundation and the Christmas Shoppe Team via participating social service organizations (Area Housing Authority, Project Understanding, Catholic Charities, Salvation Army, Tender Life, Lutheran Social Services, Neighborhood for Learning, etc) Organizations can contact ACTION Foundation for more information.
